1. About us
This website is operated by Amino Works Limited, company number 17362177, registered in England and Wales. Its registered office is 6 - 8 Great Eastern Street, London, England, EC2A 3NT. Contact sales@aminoworks.co.uk.
Amino Works Limited is not currently VAT registered.
2. Research-use restriction
Products displayed on this website are presented solely for legitimate laboratory research. They are not medicines, food supplements or consumer health products and are not for human or veterinary use, clinical trials, administration to humans or animals, or supply for human investigational use.
Customers must be at least 18 years old and legally authorised to purchase the materials. Products must not be consumed, injected, inhaled, applied to the body or otherwise administered to humans or animals.
Customers must not purchase, use, resell or supply a product for a prohibited purpose. Amino Works Limited may refuse or cancel an order where it reasonably believes the intended use is unlawful, unsafe or inconsistent with these restrictions.
3. Product information
Product descriptions, strengths, images and technical records identify catalogue items. Concept packaging is illustrative. No batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is currently published for the listed products, and no batch reference should be inferred from an image or listing.
Supplier-provided specifications are identified as such and are not presented as independent AminoWorks verification. Availability and product information may be corrected where an error is discovered.
4. Orders and payment
An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when Amino Works Limited sends an order acceptance or dispatch confirmation. Products remain subject to availability and lawful supply. Prices and delivery charges are shown before payment.
Before submitting an order, the customer must actively accept the checkout declarations and these terms. The declaration version, wording and acceptance time may be recorded with the order.
Before a contract is formed, Amino Works Limited may correct an obvious pricing or listing error or refuse an order because of unavailable stock, failed payment authorisation, suspected fraud or misuse, an unsupported delivery destination or a prohibited intended purpose. Any payment already received for an order that is not accepted will be returned using the original payment method.
The available payment method, total charge and applicable payment terms are shown before an order is submitted.
5. Delivery
Delivery is limited to Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales. The current option is Royal Mail Tracked 24. Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly described as guaranteed. Amino Works Limited remains responsible for the goods until they are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by the customer to receive them. Read the delivery information for charges, dispatch, tracking, returned-parcel and parcel-support details.
6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Our dedicated Returns & Refunds policy explains the notification process, item conditions and model cancellation form.
Customers retain all rights provided by applicable UK consumer law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits those rights.
Where the statutory right to cancel an online purchase applies, customers may generally cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods. To request a cancellation, email sales@aminoworks.co.uk with the order reference. Any legal exception, including an exception relating to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed, will be applied only where it lawfully applies to the product and circumstances.
Specialist-product returns: due to the specialist nature of these products, Amino Works Limited does not accept returns where an item is no longer required, was ordered in error or the customer has changed their mind, except where the customer has a statutory right to cancel or return the goods. This does not affect rights relating to faulty, damaged, misdescribed, incorrect or undelivered goods.
Beyond statutory rights, Amino Works Limited may be unable to accept returns of opened, used, unsealed, damaged, temperature-compromised, tampered-with or incorrectly stored research chemicals and laboratory materials. Returned goods must be unopened, unused, in their original packaging and suitable for safe inspection. Customers must contact us before returning a product.
Amino Works Limited does not offer a discretionary refund solely because a customer intended a prohibited purpose or misunderstood an accurately described research-only product. This does not affect statutory rights, including rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or undelivered goods and any applicable cancellation right.
Refunds or replacements may be provided where a parcel is confirmed missing, an item is damaged, defective or incorrect, an order is cancelled before dispatch, or Amino Works Limited is otherwise legally required to provide one. Approved refunds will be made using the original payment method unless the parties lawfully agree otherwise.
7. Damaged, missing or incorrect items
Contact sales@aminoworks.co.uk as soon as possible with the order reference. For damage or an incorrect item, include photographs of the outer packaging, delivery label and affected item, and keep all packaging until the matter is resolved.
For a suspected lost parcel, Amino Works Limited may need to complete the courier investigation before a replacement or refund can be provided.
8. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring they are authorised and suitably competent to acquire, store and handle the materials, and for complying with applicable laws, institutional controls and safe laboratory practices. Website content is not medical, dosing or administration guidance.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or limits mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, Amino Works Limited is not responsible for loss caused by prohibited use, unauthorised handling, improper storage or a failure to follow lawful laboratory controls.
10. Website information, external links and intellectual property
Website content is general product and business information. It is not medical, scientific, legal or other professional advice and should not be used as the sole basis for a research, safety or purchasing decision. Amino Works Limited may correct errors, update content or temporarily restrict website availability for maintenance or security.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. A link does not amount to endorsement, and Amino Works Limited does not control third-party content or availability.
The website and its original branding, design and content belong to Amino Works Limited or its licensors. They may not be copied or commercially reused without permission, except where law permits.
11. Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated when the operating model changes or the law changes. The version in force when an order is accepted will apply to that order. Applicable UK law and mandatory consumer protections will govern the relationship.
